Another Busy Day
Another time, there was a group of students that showed up at the restaurant. They enjoyed themselves, cheering, and yelling inside while they ordered their first round of drinks. When they had finished their drinks, Ashely saw from the corner of her eye something else. She saw a group of three men who went to sit at the corner of the restaurant. Her manager, Carlos Carmo, noticed the same thing. He knew they had no business being inside, so he kept an eye on the men. Since it was such a busy day, Carlos’s attention was soon elsewhere.

Ashley rushed towards the three men in the corner. She took their orders and was sure to make them feel comfortable. Even though she was doing a great job keeping up with customers and getting their orders, she couldn’t help but feel like something was off with these men’s behavior. Each time the group finished what they ordered, they would go ahead and order another round. When she served them and walked away, she kept feeling like they were watching her intently. Still, when she served their orders, the men were completely silent. She then realized their real intention – as soon as she brought over their bill.
