An Odd Customer
Alicia walked over to the cash register. As she watched the strange customer inside the pawnshop, she became unsettled; the guest went straight to the back of the shop. It was the moment to panic. And so, Alicia pressed the button under the counter to call the police silently. All the same, she still wasn’t calm. She knew something bad was going to happen if the police didn’t show up quickly enough. She hoped this would end immediately before it was too later. She never expected the officers to support the man she feared.

She Was Distracted
As Alicia watched the monitor, she saw the man walk over to a spot the cameras couldn’t reach. She became cautious – the man was wearing a long coat. His hands were buried deep in his pockets. She couldn’t focus on him, however, seeing as she had a line of irritated people waiting for service. Suddenly, a line formed in front of her. And so, she had no choice but to be distracted by other customers. She didn’t notice a squad car that was parked right in front of the shop.
