With such a drone in your hands, there’s nothing you can’t do. Photogs and enthusiasts have used them for fun, but did you even know that military personnel can benefit from them as well? It makes perfect sense since they can access areas that humans cannot. Take a look at some of the best drone photos on the internet.
Shooting And Scoring
A professional drone operator got this shot of a soccer player as he accomplished an amazing feat. He was performing an impressive bicycle kick when this was taken. Don’t you think it’s amazing when athletes do awesome stuff like this?

Take a look at this beached whale that appeared on this rocky beach. Apparently, no one knows exactly why or how it died. Regardless of the reason, it definitely still makes for one sad photo.
We know it doesn’t sound believable, but you are going to find a large stuffed rabbit if you bring your drone to the Alps. Who knows what it’s doing there? Pretty bizarre, if you ask us.
It was another drone that discovered the secret of this Savannah, Georgia church. Can you see this hidden platform here? Whatever happens there, let’s hope it’s good. Drones are excellent for spotting architectural gems like this one.
Not A Scarecrow
Are we looking at a scarecrow? Nope, this is actually a scary clown. Although it might be staged, we prefer the idea that it is not. Sorry if you happen to have coulrophobia or the fear of clowns!
Volcano in Vanuatu
Whoa. That is just as awe-inspiring as it is frightening. Do you see the man standing on the ledge? Apparently, he is part of a scientific research team. As it turns out, they lost several drones during the mission because of the high temperatures in the area.
The Best Wedding Photo
People tend to like more and more original wedding photos. The more unique it is, the better! These newly married lovebirds took an overhead shot with their drone. It kind of triggers our vertigo, but we think that it’s still envy-inducing.
Christ The Redeemer
There is no way you do not know this Rio de Janeiro landmark! Called Christ the Redeemer, it is one of the tallest statues in the world. We are certain you haven’t seen it from this angle before!

South African Diamond Mine
This terrible diamond mine is located in a South African town. As you can see, the buildings stand up to the edge. We cannot even begin to imagine what it must be like to live beside this pit.
Before the completion of the new Ford Field, the Detroit Lions football team played at the Silverdome. Right now, it has passed through numerous ownerships. This photo was taken by a drone after the domed roof collapsed.

The City of Mosul
You probably have no idea what you are looking at. This is actually a picture of a mosque in Mosul in Iraq. It was built in the 12th century, so it was tragic that it underwent so much destruction from ISIS.
High Above Hong Kong
Isn’t this image insane?! How could they have placed all of these huge buildings in such a tiny chunk of space? We are glad that drones make it possible to see it from this vantage point!
We want you to take a close look and figure out what is happening here. It was a kayak festival taking place on a Chinese lake. There were clearly too many participants, but it looks amazing.

Hurricane Katrina wreaked havoc on this region of the country and this Louisiana theme park has been flooded ever since. It is now impossible for people to enter the ghost town, and this is where our drones come in!
The Arthur Kill Ship Graveyard
This is a graveyard for ships next to Staten Island! They stored ships there back in the Second World War and eventually sold them for scrap. They ultimately abandoned the project, so there were many that hadn’t been scrapped yet. Eerie, right?
Havoc Of Hurricane Harvey
When Hurricane Harvey hit, it was the first time a storm of category three or higher hit the U.S since 2005. If you ask us, no other camera in the world will ever demonstrate the destruction that natural disasters cause.
Intimacy At The Tire Dump
Don’t dismiss this photo just yet! It is actually quite interesting. They were disposing of their tires… but then the dump started to burn them! The drone pilot caught them sharing a passionate moment inside their truck as it was happening.
Aftermath Of Hurricane Maria
Natural disasters are truly upsetting events that destroy the environment and take human lives. Puerto Rico and Dominica suffered a lot during Hurricane Maria. Taken by a drone, this is another photo shows the extent of the damage of the hurricane.
Sinister Italian Church
This Roman Catholic church in Italy is fairly sinister-looking. The height of the structure, as well as the mist everywhere, makes it look like a huge mystery. Europe is the place to go for creepy architecture.
When you travel, luck will make or break your trip. The group below was riding a boat in Mexico when this gray whale popped up! Do you think they consider it a highlight or a nightmare of their vacation?

Accident On The Freeway
Yet another drone captured a photo of a terrible accident. This collision took place on the I-5 in LA. A semi-trailer probably careened into oncoming traffic. Unfortunately, it resulted in the death of one person.

Lions On The Prowl
Sometimes, perfect timing is all you need to take the best photos. This one was taken when the drone flew in too close and the lion was getting ready to pounce! You can feel the energy from this photo.
Enemies Of The Drone
This photo was captured where the mountains and the sea meet. The gulls must have gotten spooked by the camera and started attacking it! This is another example of a great photo with excellent timing.
This creepy shot was captured in Bangladesh, but who knows what that thing is? It is a little too thin to be another regular guy, but it is pretty chilling to think that it might be anything else…
What an awesome photo! They got the timing right, and it pulls you right in. Killer wave, huh? Hold on… what is that I spy with my little eyes? Could that be a giant shark right beside the happy surfer girls?
Creepers In The Field
Can you imagine bringing your drone out into the woods and then coming across these freaks? Sure, we could assume it’s for Halloween or a college stunt. It does not make it any less freaky, however!
Kraken Hole From Up High
We can perfectly understand why people have taken to calling it a Glory Hole or Kraken Hole. Although we know it looks like the stuff of nightmares, it’s actually an artificial spillway in a reservoir in California.
While you were taking a stroll through the hills of England, you find this right in front of you. Any wagers as to what it was used for? It could be religious purposes, rituals, maybe even aliens.
Water vs Road
Do not underestimate water just because it is everywhere. It is an extremely powerful force of nature. Look at what happened after a rainstorm. The river washed away the roadway! It’s a good thing no one died.
Petting The Sharks
We have done a lot of crazy stuff, but we have never gone swimming with sharks. We don’t think we’ll do it for a million bucks! Why would you even volunteer to go do this?!
Whoa, will you look at that huge nest of birds right on this utility pole? Crazy! It is an honor to look at this photo because we know they build nests in odd places. It must’ve looked sinister in person, however.
Life In The Ocean
Nature never runs out of surprising and new things to show us all. Luckily, we have drones to capture important moments like this shark and all the fish around him. This is such an unforgettable moment!
Cheaters Get Caught
If we may say so ourselves, this was one clever man. He thought his wife was cheating on him, so he brought out his drone to spy on her. His suspicions were confirmed, but it’s a sad situation to be in.
Time To Run Away

Do not be fooled by the bright colors in this photo. Although the visuals are stunning, it actually shows a soccer player as he collapsed during the game. It’s a beautiful photo, but we hope he is okay!
How does this guy do it? The idea of chilling above a wind turbine that is 200 feet in the air sounds like too much for us. He might be working on repair or maintenance, but we still cannot imagine it.
This has to be one of the top whale photographs ever taken. This was captured right at the exact moment of spouting. It looks gorgeous with the sunlight passing through the mist to make the rainbow!
What an amazing photo this is! It shows a gigantic whale following the little boat calmly. Although they are generally harmless creatures, it is a different story altogether when you get too close for comfort.
Action shots are great, but it can be difficult to get a great shot. We bet the drone pilot got the shock of his life when the duck flew up to the camera in an effort to say hi!
Here is yet another candid shot in the wild. The drone pilot was driving the machine along the river when he came by a dog in the water. The animal noticed it and attacked! Let’s hope the drone is okay.
Oh no, can you even imagine what it must be like to drive through this? This is traffic like never been seen before. If we were the drone pilot, we would be happy we were not going through it!
Relaxing At The Beach
Ooh, we feel quite jealous of this lady having some relaxation time at the beach. However, do you think she will react well when she finds out that a drone pilot had been spying on her? Yikes.
Now, why would someone make something like a robotic shark? This was taken by a drone operator off the coast of Florida. Was it scientific research, a prank, sports equipment? We don’t know either.
It is not surprising to hear that drones have also been used in scientific explorations. Take this photo of killer whales for example. Man, can you imagine how much patience you need when flying a drone over the water?
With The Fish
Have you ever gone swimming with the fishes? How about with a whale? Okay, how about a whale shark? It might be perfectly safe, but we would rather not swim in the same waters as this fellow!
Sting Ray Monstrosity
There is something so impressive about perfectly-timed action shots! Doesn’t this thing here look like something straight out of a sci-fi film? It was actually the Mobula devil ray breaching the water! What great timing.
Hard At Work
This is such an excellent piece of work, isn’t it? Just take a look at these fishermen in the middle of casting their net into the water from their boat. It may seem too shallow for fishing, but let’s hope they got a big catch.
This is yet another graveyard, although it’s for airplanes this time. This is where they take US military planes when they are no longer in use. It is actually the biggest airplane boneyard in the world.
Another classic drone photo! It shows an unbelievably compact school of sharks in the wide open sea. What makes it so different is how close the drone went to catch this incredible sight. Amazing, isn’t it?
Bye Bye Whale
These guys were going about boating when they stumbled into the body of a dead whale on the water. Apparently, the cause of death is still undetermined. Could it have been at the hands of another human?
Not Your Regular Cityscape
Ah, nature can truly offer some of the most exciting experiences out there. We bet the person taking this was out for some nighttime photography, but we doubt he expected to capture something like this.
Bacon For Crocs
That is correct, this is a crocodile with an entire pig clasped in its jaws. Amazing but terrifying. It’s a good thing the photographer was using a drone because we don’t think he would have made it alive up close.
Shark For Dinner
This is another drone pilot who was lucky enough to run into this amazing display of power in nature. A killer whale and a great white shark up against each other was exciting, but the former won in the end.
Planes From Up High
This amazing photo was captured by a drone going above an airplane history exhibit! You are looking at vintage World War II airplanes. You can just pretend you are a wartime pilot during a historic battle.
Up next, we have yet another drone photo with perfect timing and great composition. These women were just chilling out by the beach, and these stingrays could not help but stare in amazement. Nice, no?
In the running for the most horrifying sea creatures, we have the hammerhead. Honestly, we would not have risked the drone if we were in the pilot’s shoes. And yet we’re glad to have seen this photo! Kudos.
Bird’s Eye View
We bet no one would have been able to take this photo without using a drone. This incredible overhead view of a bird’s nest up high is simply exquisite. Those details are simply fascinating, aren’t they?
Halos In The Mountain
The only thing that could inspire more awe than the photo is the natural phenomenon itself. Incredible! If we did not know any better, we could have sworn this is an oil painting instead. Thank god for drones.
Another Jaws Movie
These kids were focusing so hard on swimming with their kickboards that they did not notice they were in shark-infested waters. Yikes. It’s a relief to know that the children made it out fine. Whew!
Blue Whale Eating Dinner
This impressive drone photo shows a giant blue whale right as it was about to take a huge swallow of krill. We hope it was a good meal for him. Bon Appetit, our giant friend.
You are looking at this great photo of a mountain climber who scaled the summit at long last. We think it looks fantastic, although people with vertigo might not feel the same way. We don’t blame them.
Fear Of The Water
Yep, we have another shark for you! Do you think it’s too much already? Let’s hope they don’t feature in your dream tonight. Quick question: would you rather run into a shark or a crocodile? Tough call…
Don’t you just love this overhead shot of a forest in the show? Those green trees make for a great contrast with the snow-covered grassland. It is definitely beautiful, but it has an eerie quality as well.
Buffet For Sharks
Man, can you imagine how long the drone pilot scour the waters to get something like this? You are looking at sharks eating their dinner. Aren’t you happy you aren’t the first course? We sure are.
Spaceship And Rafts
Who would have thought that NASA takes space shuttles across the water using rafts? We bet you didn’t expect that. Neither did we. It sounds rather risky, we know, but if it works, it works!
Someone once erected this wall to turn a chunk of the ocean into their own swimming pool. It ended up being both gorgeous and electrifying. There is something appealing about the contrast between the sea and the woman.
Can you imagine taking your drone out for a flight as you take lovely countryside photos? It sounds nice until a hawk dives in and attacks. Yikes! Birds of prey are truly terrifying creatures, aren’t they?
More Whale Spouting
All right, so this whale here is performing a move we call bubble net. The drone pilot was lucky enough to capture it spiraling and blowing bubbles up to the surface. This is a photo we could look at for hours.
Volcanos And Lavas
Lava is so terrifying when you think about it. It is one of the hottest substances in nature, which explains it. I’ll stay far away if I ever come across it. This is what drones are for!
Airplane Too Low
Take a look at this photo. Don’t you think it’s strange? The plane seems to be flying too low for comfort. Otherwise, the parking lot is waaay too close to the airport. Both are pretty bad, to be honest.
The Tubbs Fire
Here is another photo of a tragedy. Tubbs Lane in Santa Rosa, California broke out in fire in 2017. It was a huge fire that got way out of hand. Reports say 5,000 buildings were ruined.
Man, can you imagine having this in the middle of your neighborhood? It is honestly a little terrifying. Houses getting sucked into the earth without any warning at all sounds like the stuff of nightmares.
You are looking at a pack of killer whales who hunted, killed, and ate this giant whale. It does not make for a nice view, although there is something fascinating about the circle of life.
Go Dolphin Go
This dolphin was trying its hardest to get away from the sharks attacking it. It has already been injured, so we are not optimistic that it managed to escape to safety. We’re sad it had to be this way.
Accident Upon Landing
You are looking at the aftermath of an unfortunate runway accident. Apparently, something went wrong during landing, leading the plane to slide down the embankment. Hopefully, no one inside the plane got hurt too badly.
All right, do you think you are brave enough to climb onto this hammock high above? Personally, we don’t have the guts to try it out. Nope, you won’t get me to do it even if you offer me some money!
Take a look at this alligator as it swims away with its dinner! That’s an entire cow it has in its mouth. Considering he can do this to the giant livestock, we don’t think humans will fare any better…
Hanging Out With Whale Pals
I doubt there have been many shots like this one in the past. It shows giant whales clumped together to surface at the same time. It’s pretty fascinating to see such majestic creatures in tight formation!
Sharks And Swimming
All right, next one please. This isn’t the job for someone as cowardly as I am. We have to admit that it is pretty brave of these folks to get into the water with sharks.
With The Whale Sharks
This is a high overhead shot showing people taking a dip with these giant whale sharks. How adventurous do you have to be to do this? Extremely adventurous, we bet. It’s not for us, but we do like the photo!
This drone photo shows an unbelievable pileup of 100 vehicles courtesy of slippery road conditions. How horrible an experience that must be! They must be grateful for the first responders. Kudos to the hardworking bunch!
No, you are not looking at a magical vortex! It is actually a spillway in Lake Berryessa in Napa Valley, California. Sometimes, the wonders of engineering and science make us drop our jaws in awe
