Look, we have no idea what you were doing from 1987 to 1995, but if you weren’t watching Full House, well then we can’t be friends. For eight seasons, we laughed, we cried, we fell in love numerous times, basically every emotion one can feel, we felt. So when the show went off air, well needless to say, hearts shattered all over the globe. Mine included. However, thanks to re-reruns and of course the 2016 sequel series, Fuller House, our hearts are pieced (somewhat) back together. As such, we decided to take a stroll down memory lane and have compiled a list of the wonderful cast and what they’ve been up to since the show’s end.
John Stamos as Uncle Jesse
Uncle Jesse was basically everyone’s childhood crush during the 90’s, and now he’s basically everyone’s adult crush too. Since the show first ended, John Stamos excelled in Broadway and also had a bunch of guest starring roles on television, including as a love interest to Emma Pillsbury on Glee. And really, who could forget his jaw-dropping Greek yogurt commercials?
Lori Loughlin as Rebecca Donaldson
Aunt Becky has been quite busy since Full House went off air, starring in 90210, Beverly Hills, 90210, and Summerland. She’s married to fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, who whom she has two daughters with and is step-mother to Giannulli’s son from a previous relationship.
Blake and Dylan Tuomy-Wilhoit as Nicky and Alex Katsopolis
Full House would be nothing if it wasn’t for the twin sons of Jesse and Becky! After the show, though, neither one stuck to acting. Blake (Nicky) even grew up to be a firefighter, while Dylan (Alex) became a foley artist. However both did revive their roles for Fuller House – thank goodness!
Bob Saget as Danny Tanner
Bob Saget doesn’t really need an introduction now, does he? Fine, he was the goofy, lovable, strict dad we all know and love. From 1989 to 1997, he hosted America’s Funniest Home Videos and of course, he served as the voice of Ted Mosby’s future self on How I Met Your Mother. Furthermore, his 2014 comedy album, That’s What I’m Talkin’ About, was even nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album.
Jurnee Smollett as Denise Frazer
Michelle had a lot of friends on the show but up next is her best female friend, Denise Frazer. Since her Full House days, she’s gone on to have a successful career with roles in On Our Own and Eve’s Bayou (for which she received critical acclaim and Critic’s Choice Award for). Moreover, she’s had quite the film career as well!
Candace Cameron Bure as D.J. Tanner
D.J. Tanner, the eldest Tanner sister, kind of disappeared from the big screen but for a pretty remarkable reason, folks. Cameron left to raise her kids, all three of them! Recently, she was on Dancing With the Stars and came in third place. Lest we forget, she is also a published author of three books. Not bad, Deej, not bad at all.
Dave Coulier As Joey Gladstone
Uncle Joey is more than an actor, he’s also a stand-up comedian, voice actor, impressionist, and television host. Following his Full House days, Coulier has starred in many film and television roles with a brief stint in reality TV.
Andrea Barber as Kimmy Gibbler
Basically everyone’s favorite television airhead who in real life is the polar opposite of her character, Kimmy Gibbler AKA Andrea Barber. Or is it the other way around? Anyways, after the show, Barber retired from acting and received her master’s degree in Women’s Studies from England’s University of York, working in administration at the college.
Jodie Sweetin as Stephanie Tanner
Up next is the middle child of the Tanner family! Jodie Sweetin, however, went through a rough few years after the show’s end. In her 2009 autobiography, unSweetined, she admitted that she is a recovering drug addict. The past couple of years, though, Jodie has appeared in two television movies and is working on a project called Walt Before Mickey, about Walt Disney’s early years.
Marla Sokoloff as Gia Mahan
Stephanie’s archenemy turned best friend is bound to make the list! Since her Full House days, she’s appeared in The Practice, Friends, Dude, Where’s My Car?, and others. Sokoloff also released a CD back in 2006 and is married with two daughters.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen as Michelle Tanner
The wonderfully talented Olsen twins have accomplished a TON since Full House ended. As you know, Mary-Kate and Ashley both played the role of Michelle Tanner and now, both are dominating the fashion industry as fashion designers who pioneer look after look. While the Olsen twins starred in many, many film and television roles as children, as adults however, they are focused on sculpting their fashion signature.
Tahj Mowry as Teddy
Michelle’s best friend, Teddy, is up next. Mowry is also the brother of identical twins Tia and Tamera Mowry. Aside from his acting career, Tahj also is a voice actor, singer, and dancer. From 2012 to 2017, he starred in the hit comedy TV show Baby Daddy.
Scott Weinger as Steve Hale
Who could forget D.J.’s first steady, food loving boyfriend? No one! Weinger went on to become the voice of the title character in Disney’s Aladdin. He’s also a writer and producer for television, such as ABC’s Galavant and Black-ish. Furthermore, he’s a co-executive producer of ABC’s The Muppets.
Gail Edwards as Vicky Larson
Gail Edwards played Vicky Larson, Danny’s girlfriend (and fiance for a brief period) during seasons five and six. In 1994, she retired from acting and has been living in the Southwest with her husband.
Miko Hughes as Aaron Bailey
Beloved child actor, Miko Hughes, easily makes the list. He starred in Pet Sematary, Apollo 13, Mercury Rising, and Wes Craven’s New Nightmare. After Full House, he released two albums and carried on acting.
Blake McIver Ewing as Derek S. Boyd
One of Michelle’s friends who had a reoccurring role on the show. Aside from acting, Ewing also is a talented singer-songwriter and pianist. In 2014, he released his first album The Time Manipulator , he’s a graduate of UCLA, and currently works as a host on AfterBuzz TV.
Kathryn Zaremba as Lisa Leeper
Lisa Leeper was the character name of one of Michelle’s friends who has a steller voice. After the show, she appeared in various of television shows, with her last professional acting credit on the 1997 Disney television film Toothless, starring Kirstie Alley. Zarembra is an illustrator and surface designer, is married, and also co runs The Lemon Bow.
Jason Marsden as Nelson
Jason Marsden played Nelson who was a love interest for D.J. Marsden is also a voice actor, director and producer who has appeared in many voice roles in animated films, including plenty television series and video games.
Alice Hirson as Claire Tanner
Good ol’ Alice Hirson, AKA Danny’s mother, is best known for her many roles on television, such as Dallas, Ellen, 7th Heaven, and so on. At 88, she’s still going strong.
John Aprea as Nick Katsopolis
Jesse’s dad makes the list! However he’s best known for his role as young Sal Tessio in The Godfather: Part II and from his television role as Lucas Castigliano in Another World.
