Brian May
We will forgive those of you who don’t know who Brian May is, although you should considering he’s the guitarist for the British rock band, Queen. The man’s a legend who also has a Ph.D in astrophysics from the Imperial College in London and is now a Visiting Researcher at the school. You want to know the truly inspiring part? It took him over 35 years to finish. He had finished most of his degree from 1970-74, this was just as Queen began scoring international success. But his love for astronomy never faded, so at the age of 59, in 2006, he re-registered and finished his degree in less than a year. You know what that means? No student ever gets to complain about anything ever again.

Did your jaw just drop to the floor as you saw Gerald Butler’s name come up on this list? Yeah, don’t worry, we’re right there with you. This ridiculously handsome, Scottish actor graduated from Glasgow University with a law degree. That law degree sure has come in handy especially when he’s had run-ins with the police. Like the time in 2009 when he was charged with criminal battery after a quarrel with a photographer.
