The NFL’s free agency is going to be absolutely fascinating this year. There are a number of quarterbacks hitting the market, so we can’t know what will happen for sure. All these free agents and their decisions will have a huge impact on the NFL. Still, we can’t help but wonder… What’s going to happen? Let’s take a look at some predictions, shall we?

Derrick Henry

It may take him a couple of games to get going, but the thunderous back of Alabama is a complete beast. The entire offensive scheme of Tennessee depends on Henry hammering the ball. There is no way they can just let him leave. Kansas City and Detroit look like potential fits, but the Titans will likely pay Henry handsomely to ensure he stays for the next couple of seasons. (Prediction: Tennessee Titans)

Derrick Henry

Derrick Henry

Dante Fowler

During this current season, LA’s best pass rusher has been Fowler (and that includes Aaron Donald). A lot of the Rams’ money is tied up with its other members, though. In addition, LA faces the challenge of getting starting DT Michael Brockers to join the team. Division rival Arizona has a lot of cash, and is set on adding a complementary edge rusher to work with Chandler Jones. (Prediction: Arizona Cardinals)

Dante Fowler

Dante Fowler

Chris Jones

One of the NFL’s most versatile defensive players, Chris Jones commands double teams on practically every play when he plays inside. Duly, as a defensive end, he flashes elite quickness when getting after opposing quarterbacks. Due to his age (25) and position, he will command quite a hefty contract. Kansas City is set on not letting him walk away as a free agent. (Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs)

Chris Jones

Chris Jones

Marcus Peters

Known for being a talented but volatile player, Marcus Peters was shipped to the Baltimore Ravens for a fifth-round pick by the Rams when they had enough of his antics. Since becoming a part of the Ravens, Peters has gone back to Pro Bowl form. As of Week 14, he has nabbed three interceptions in just six games with his new team. Provided Baltimore continues to get the best version of Marcus Peters, he is likely not going anywhere. (Prediction: Baltimore Ravens)

Marcus Peters

Marcus Peters

Michael Brockers

Brockers has shown that he is a really solid NFL player ever since he was drafted out of LSU. While he may not be the kind to pop off the screen, as a starting defensive tackle, he is quite dependable. The Rams have plenty of money tied up with a few players (Aaron Donald, Todd Gurley, Jared Goff, Brandin Cooks). With the Rams trying to re-sign both Cooper Kupp and Jalen Ramsey, it is unlikely that Brockers will return. (Prediction: Denver Broncos)

Michael Brockers

Michael Brockers

Shaq Thompson

Heading into the offseason, Oakland is expected to have just two linebackers under contract. Thompson has become a really nice player for Carolina. He was a safety in college and possesses the athleticism and versatility to cover smaller players from the backfield. Aside from that, he is great in run support. Thompson will get to represent the Bay Area (Sacramento), where he is from, for a year before the team heads to Las Vegas. (Prediction: Oakland Raiders)

Shaq Thompson

Shaq Thompson

Byron Jones

This one is somewhat a no-brainer. Rumblings suggest Dallas is not offering Jones an extension (because of the potential Dak Prescott contract). Last offseason, Houston lost Kareem Jackson to Denver. In addition, current starters Bradley Roby and Johnathan Joseph will both be walking in free agency after this current season. Therefore, Houston will do everything possible to sign the player who is perceived as the best defensive back by many in the free agent group. (Prediction: Houston Texans)

Byron Jones

Byron Jones

Melvin Gordon

Melvin Gordon hasn’t really looked great this year after he held out for a contract extension which never came. While that’s not to say that getting back to Pro Bowl level is impossible for him, the Chargers seem content with Austin Ekeler, the cheaper option. Catching passes out of the backfield is something Gordon can do well, and with the Chiefs needing a lead running back, it seems Kansas City is a perfect fit for this potential marriage. (Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs)

Melvin Gordon

Melvin Gordon

Vonn Bell

So far, this is the best year of Bell’s young career. On the back end, he has been a ball hawk and has been excellent in run support. Finally, it appears as though the light is turning on for Bell, a former first-round pick. His contract are one to watch since Bell’s upside definitely makes it possible that he will make a handful going forward even though he has not made a Pro Bowl yet. However, New Orleans might see him as too overpriced for them. (Prediction: Arizona Cardinals)

Vonn Bell

Vonn Bell

Bud Dupree

As of Week 14, Dupree has notched 8.5 sacks, a career-high for the former first-round pick. He is a key member of Pittsburgh’s suddenly emerging defense. Along with Devin Bush, T.J. Watt and Minkah Fitzpatrick, the Steelers have created a really good core of guys in their 20’s. Pittsburgh will probably re-sign Dupree to a really lucrative deal to keep the group together. (Prediction: Pittsburgh Steelers)

Bud Dupree

Bud Dupree

Drew Brees

We really can’t see Brees joining any other franchise. He has lost a little bit off his fastball, but Brees continues to play at a relatively high level. What’s more, he is a beloved member of the franchise and the community. He will likely re-up on a short deal, hoping that New Orleans can take home a Super Bowl trophy within the next couple of years. (Prediction: New Orleans Saints)

Drew Brees

Drew Brees

Yannick Ngakoue

Jacksonville has to unload some of what it paid Nick Foles first or Ngakoue will be out of their price range. It is clear that the stud defensive end is one of this class’s crown jewels. The Jags do want him back, but the Colts also want to get him. They have a humongous need at defensive end and a lot of cap space. (Prediction: Indianapolis Colts)

Yannick Ngakoue

Yannick Ngakoue

Brandon Scherff

By the time, this two-time Pro Bowler hits the market, he will just be 28 years old. Washington could gain from re-signing him, but the franchise hasn’t really been known for good decision-making. It is easy to see that this could be a battle between the New York Jets and Tennessee. The latter in particular has found it hard to protect its quarterbacks and in terms of sacks relinquished, it is dead-last. (Prediction: Tennessee Titans)

Brandon Scherff

Brandon Scherff

Jadeveon Clowney

Seattle traded for Clowney, and he has proven to be the best pass rusher of the team off the edge. There are even moments when he dominates the field. Seattle surely wouldn’t let Clowney walk away, having given up considerable draft capital for him this season. Seattle will need to shell out a pricey contract, but he will be worth it. (Prediction: Seattle Seahawks)

Jadeveon Clowney

Jadeveon Clowney

A.J. Green

It’s time A.J. Green plays for a contender. He has practically been an afterthought and has dwindled away in Cincinnati. Considering how old he is (31), his injury history, and drive to play for a contender, Green seems like an ideal fit for New England. Those legs still have some juice in them, and rejuvenating players who are well past their prime seems to be a thing for the Patriots. (Prediction: New England Patriots)

A.J. Green

A.J. Green

Amari Cooper

T.Y. Hilton has constantly hindered by a series of nicks and injuries, and he is certainly not the same player that he used to be. Jacoby Brissett would really love to have a legit No. 1 receiver, and Cooper’s skill-set would be exceptional on turf. Indy’s offense would instantly benefit from the balance that Cooper will bring. (Prediction: Indianapolis Colts)

Amari Cooper

Amari Cooper

Anthony Castonzo

Miami is need of talent everywhere, particularly a cornerstone player who can bring toughness on the field and culture to the locker room. An athletic and proven player when it comes to the offensive line, Offensive Tackle Anthony Castonzo will be a great fit. Even though the Colts really want to re-sign him, there could be a problem regarding cap space. (Prediction: Miami Dolphins)

Anthony Castonzo

Anthony Castonzo

Jameis Winston

Winston can be expected to re-up with the team which drafted him No. 1 overall a couple of years ago. Winston can throw to two elite receivers, and gets to work with the famed offensive guru Bruce Arians. Assuming Winston is provided with adequate ground game by Tampa Bay, good numbers can be expected from him. (Prediction: Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

Jameis Winston

Jameis Winston

Hunter Henry

This one is pretty interesting. Despite being clearly talented, Henry has suffered from a string of injuries since entering the NFL. His potential earnings could be adversely impacted by his lack of heath. New England is still searching for its Rob Gronkowski replacement, and they will definitely be involved in something that will get them a player with Henry’s caliber on a discount. In Josh McDaniels’s offense, Henry would be totally lethal. (Prediction: New England Patriots)

Hunter Henry

Hunter Henry

Austin Hooper

A bidding war will happen when it comes to Austin Hooper. The Bears, Packers, Jets, Titans, Panthers, Bills, and Patriots are all in need of a great tight end. Hooper has turned into one of the very best in the league largely due to his sticky hands and blocking ability. He will probably re-sign in Atlanta but don’t get surprised if he goes somewhere else. (Prediction: Atlanta Falcons)

Austin Hooper

Austin Hooper

Jarran Reed

After Reed made less than $2 million the past year, he is in line for a huge boost to his salary. As a defensive tackle, he had 10.5 sacks in 2018, and even though he had less than stellar sack numbers in 2019, he is still a great player against the run. Seattle is planning to rebuild its defense to make it an elite unit, so it can’t really afford to let Reed walk. (Prediction: Seattle Seahawks)

Jarran Reed

Jarran Reed

Philip Rivers

The best quarterback who has never played in a Super Bowl, Rivers has a career that is chock-full of personal accomplishments. However, it is also clear that he is not the player that he once was. Aside from causing turnovers at an alarmingly high rate, Rivers just does not have enough zip to push the ball downfield properly. In addition, he and his family are deeply rooted in San Diego, so the 38-year-old will likely choose to hang up his cleats, retiring to his lovely Southern California abode. (Prediction: Retires)

Philip Rivers

Philip Rivers

Teddy Bridgewater

Assuming Philip Rivers chooses to retire, Los Angeles will have an open spot. While Teddy Two Gloves is not the flashiest of players, he is at least a legitimate option under center. He has the ability to efficiently move the ball, and rarely causes turnovers. If LA chooses to draft a quarterback (such as Justin Herbert or Tua Tagovailoa), a good stop-gap in the interim would be Bridgewater. (Prediction: Los Angeles Chargers)

Teddy Bridgewater

Teddy Bridgewater

Shaquil Barrett

A massive payday is coming Barrett’s way. As of December 5th, he is the NFL leader in sacks (14.5). Pass-rushing traits has become a major premium in the game today, so the 27-year-old will not have a shortage of suitors. It shouldn’t come as a surprise if the rival Atlanta Falcons attempts to woo Barrett. Atlanta is desperate need of pass-rushing brilliance, and the Barrett show was in front of them all season. (Prediction: Atlanta Falcons)

Shaquil Barrett

Shaquil Barrett

Marcus Mariota

Tennessee will soon be bidding Mariota goodbye. Heading into the free agency period, it doesn’t seem like the former Oregon star is first-choice material as a starting quarterback. Pete Carroll, who is really keen on former Pac-12 players, will happily scoop up Mariota to make him arguably football’s best backup signal-caller. The west coast doesn’t seem too far for Mariota (just a short plane ride away from his native Hawaii). (Prediction: Seattle Seahawks)

Marcus Mariota

Marcus Mariota

Trae Waynes

The division the Panthers play in features the likes of Calvin Ridley, Julio Jones, Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Michael Thomas (among others). For this reason, the team can never have too many quality corners. Former first-round pick Trae Waynes could be headed to Carolina at a nice discount based on the market and other players at his position. (Prediction: Carolina Panthers)

Trae Waynes

Trae Waynes

Joe Schobert

Mike Mayock is a big fan of tough, hard-nosed players, and his draft track record shows that he targets players who are not only from bigger schools but are also competitive. A former Wisconsin product, Schobert fits the bill pretty well as he is a surefire tackler who is rarely caught out of position. For a defense in dire need of consistency, he will help set the tone. (Prediction: Oakland Raiders)

Joe Schobert

Joe Schobert

Chris Harris Jr.

Harris Jr. can be quite valuable to the Patriots. He has a championship pedigree, plenty of experience, and is super competitive. At this time in his career, Harris Jr. can be signed at a discount, which is perfect for Bill Belichick. (Prediction: New England Patriots)

Chris Harris Jr.

Chris Harris Jr.

Dak Prescott

Surely Dallas won’t let Dak walk – the same individual that brought together what used to be a fractured locker room. He is excellent within the community and improving on the field, not to mention he has the complete respect of everybody within the organization. There could be some negotiation on the amount of guaranteed money, but Prescott is likely not going anywhere. (Prediction: Dallas Cowboys)

Dak Prescott

Dak Prescott

Tom Brady

The offseason’s shocker – the rumored split between Tom Brady and Bill Belichick will ultimately happen. We all know that Brady won’t join a team that is not ready to go all the way to the Super Bowl and that he could go to the West Coast. After all, he’s originally from there (San Francisco) and he lives there (Los Angeles) during the offseason. He is a Bay Area native, so it makes sense for him to join the 49ers — especially if SF doesn’t reach the Super Bowl this season. If Brady shows interest, John Lynch will not hesitate in pursuing the star player, who is buoyed by a big-time defense and a strong run game. It’s almost a perfect fit for Tom Brady. (Prediction: San Francisco 49ers)

Tom Brady

Tom Brady

Josh Norman

Josh Norman was released by the Washington Redskins ahead of the free agency, his $75 million contract has, in turn, saved them $12.5 million but left teams knowing well in advance they can have their pick. The Buffalo Bills are surely to have him at the top of their list and we think he will take the deal.

Josh Norman

Josh Norman

Le’Veon Bell

A split between Bell and the Pittsburgh steelers is for sure on the rise as Bell has some wear-and-tear which is feared by the Steelers for sure. However, some other team is definitely not afraid to take this expensive player on and our money is on Detroit if they want to make the playoffs and eventually get the big win, Bell is their best bet.

Le'Veon Bell

Le’Veon Bell

Aaron Donald

The Rams have proven that they are willing to spend on Donald and will do what it takes rather than signing key depth players or starters. The team is looking to spend more money to retain players such as Todd Gurley and Jared Goff in the future but Donald is just as valuable and if not the most valuable- thus, we anticipate they will be more favorable in spending on him than the others.

Aaron Donald

Aaron Donald

Tyrann Mathieu

After surprising us all with his pick of the Houston Texans we know that Mathieu values his team as a whole and the potential as a whole, he aims to play on stacked defenses and with a loyal union. We do think that the possibility of him moving is open, potentially to the Bills but if it doesn’t work out a prove-it deal in New England is on the cards for him too.

Tyrann Mathieu

Tyrann Mathieu

Odell Beckham Jr.

Beckham is a strong player, a valuable player and works extremely well under Pat Shurmur. He will certainly spark interest in multiple teams but after his injury, if he wants to win a title he needs to stay with the Giants and they will be lucky to have him. For this player, his home is where he is and should

Odell Beckham Jr

Odell Beckham Jr.

Khalil Mack

Mack is looking for a well-deserved new contract and is for sure the alpha of his team at the moment, with a new coach coming in things are certainly going to be changing. We think Mack may leave Oaklahoma for the New York Jets, the Jets are foreseeably going to have a ton of cap space and potentially may be willing to make him the face of the franchise. The Raiders best be ready to fight it out or bid it out should we say.

Khalil Mack

Khalil Mack

DeMarcus Lawrence

DeMarcus Lawrence has been thriving as an edge rusher, his pay-day is up and coming that’s known. The best choice and fit is Oakland as they may have some spaces open due to players we foresee leaving if so this is a good opportunity and the Raiders can go far with him.

DeMarcus Lawrence

DeMarcus Lawrence

Randall Cobb

Cobb has been a bit inconsistent currently with the Packers and if they don’t make Super Bowl it is predicted that things are going to get shaken up. If Cobb ends up being part of the changes we foresee Tennessee being the first in line to sign him. Tennessee have a space at wide receiver and the money to make this move, it logistically makes sense.

Randall Cobb

Randall Cobb

Taylor Lewan

Offensive linemen are raking in the heavy paychecks in the free agency field and we suspect that Lewan is next in line. With an array of options for linesmen, The Titans are most likely going to let him walk-free but the Bills are in need of a tackle and have the money to sign Lewan. We think Lewan is thus headed to Buffalo unless his arm improves.

Taylor Lewan

Taylor Lewan

Zack Martin

All-pro guard Zack Martin is looking to retain the cash dollar as his team is very well aware of his worth as well as other teams, The Cowboys know they are going to be led by Ezekiel Elliot and thus keeping Martin around is worth the money for them. Dallas needs his impact and thus, we foresee them keeping him on.

Zack Martin

Zack Martin

Earl Thomas

It was reported that The Cowboys made an offer to trade for Thomas but terms could not be met and it’s looking as if he will be leaving Seattle soon. Our best bet is Dallas however, we assume it will be on some kind of incentive deal. With Dallas specifically liking to have an all-pro safety this buy is on the cards.

Earl Thomas

Earl Thomas

Brian Orakpo

This deadly pass-rusher is 32-years old and has showed that he is able to stay healthy over the past three seasons with the Titans. His options are open but the most likely choice as an All-American Houston original is that the Cowboys will be signing him.

Brian Orakpo

Brian Orakpo

Danielle Hunter

The Vikings’ are willing to spend big to retain the players they need and since Hunter is young, on top of his game and an asset we predict they will resign him for sure. Minnesota know this is the move they should make and we see it happening.

Danielle Hunter

Danielle Hunter

Tyrod Taylor

We are talking about the upcoming top quarterback of the free-agent market. He has shown capability and productivity over the last three seasons for Buffalo and we think he is headed for Cleaveland. Signing him to play for the Jaguars is the best decision and works well as e would replace Blake Bortles, this is a smart decision.

Tyrod Taylor

Tyrod Taylor

Ezekiel Ansah

This player has deemed a little inconsistent but will certainly be in demand when back on the market. It is believed he will most likely make the move to Arizona from Lions, this makes complete sense as they are in need of an edge rusher that will change the game for them, Ansah is capable. However, it is predicted that it will not be a long-term deal.

Ezekiel Ansah

Ezekiel Ansah

Anthony Harris

Another safety that a lot of people don’t know about is Anthony Harris. He might be getting a very nice deal after his impressive 2019 season. Playing for the Minnesota Vikings DB, he has six picks and did a good job in the middle when he was asked to do so.

Anthony Harris

Anthony Harris

Cory Littleton

Coming off his best season yet, Cory Littleton played for the Los Angeles Rams ILB. Being only 26 years old, his best football is yet to come. For now, he’s an active and athletic linebacker who has a bright future.

Cory Littleton

Cory Littleton

Justin Simmons

While his name might not be one many fans recognize, Justin Simmons has most definitely caught the eye of the NFL personnel. He’s young, he’s athletic, and he’s a ball hawk. There is a lot of value in that. He last played for the Denver Broncos FS.

Justin Simmons

Justin Simmons

Arik Armstead

In 2019, Arik Armstead had his best season, coming at the right time. It’s unlikely that the 49ers will be able to keep him for much longer. He’s definitely going to get a mega-deal from some team soon.

Arik Armstead

Arik Armstead

Ryan Tannehill

He brought his career back to life with the Tennessee Titans last season, coming off the bench and leading them to the playoffs. He’s most likely going to get some sort of tag, but what’s his real value now?

Ryan Tannehill

Ryan Tannehill

Joe Thuney

Teams that are looking for a great guard who’s well-schooled in the fundamentals should take a look at Joe Thuney. He’s been the New England Patriots’ best lineman this past season and will probably go on to do great things.

Joe Thuney

Joe Thuney

Jack Conklin

After starting his 2019 season rather slow due to an injury from the 2018 season, Jack Conklin bounced back. He played well down the stretch as well as in the playoffs. Playing for the Tennessee Titans, he’s a good starting right tackle. We wonder what he’ll do next!

Jack Conklin

Jack Conklin

Javon Hargrave

A power player, Javon Hargrave can certainly handle the point against the run. And, of course, big people get paid. There’s no doubt that he’ll get a nice deal. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and offers some pass-rush ability.

Javon Hargrave

Javon Hargrave

James Bradberry

While he thinks he’s an elite corner, James Bradberry is not that. However, he is a nice starter who will help a team that needs coverage ability. He’s played for the Carolina Panthers and started 47 games the past three seasons.

James Bradberry

James Bradberry

Bryan Bulaga

Bryan Bulaga is a solid starting right tackle who just goes about doing his job. He has been a great pass blocker for most of the nine seasons he’s spent with the Green Bay Packers.

Bryan Bulaga

Bryan Bulaga

Robby Anderson

Robby Anderson’s speed will make him a wanted commodity on the market for teams that are looking to upgrade their outside passing game. Playing for the New York Jets, he doesn’t always play to the speed, but it’s still there.

Robby Anderson

Robby Anderson

D.J. Reader

D.J. Reader is just coming off his best season as a pro. He’s become a top-level defensive lineman, even if not many people know it. At age 25, he has plenty of good football left in him while playing for the Houston Texans.

D.J. Reader

D.J. Reader

Leonard Williams

Leonard Williams was previously traded from the Jets to the New York Giants, but it’s almost certain that he’ll be gone. He’s not a big sack guy, so this will help keep his price down.

Leonard Williams

Leonard Williams

Matt Judon

Coming off a career year at the right time, Matt Judon registered 9.5 sacks. This made him a valuable edge player in his class. While he’s had 24.5 sacks in the past three seasons with the Ravens, he’s no one-hit-wonder.

Matt Judon

Matt Judon

Jimmie Ward

Coming off his best season, Jimmie Ward just moved to safety full-time. He has a great range in a league that mandates it on the back end of things. Up till now, he’s been playing for the San Francisco 49ers.
