They Were Carefully Arranged
The jars had been arranged carefully inside, which helped preserve the items. On top of that, each one seems to have been themed in its own way. One of the containers was devoted to George Washington. This came with a photo of him, a copy of his speech, and a medal that was decorated with his likeness.

What Was Going On At The Time
There was a different jar that seemed to revolve around current events. This is what we guess based on all the copies of the Federal Gazette inside of it. It was interesting to see that one of them even came with an article about the cornerstone. The date on it read July 6, 1815. Aside from that, there was also a bible in a different container. We can’t wrap our heads around the fact that it came from 1812!
