Joe Jackson had a difficult relationship with most of his kids. He beat them up and admitted to this when he was interviewed by Oprah. He made the kids work hard, especially back when the Jackson 5 was starting out. He basically stripped the boys of their childhood. There is a theory that this is why Michael Jackson was so fascinated by Peter Pan and “never growing up.” Although some find it odd, people understand that he is “weird” because of the abuse he experienced as a child.
