2001: A Space Odyssey
This film, which was Arthur C. Clarke’s playoff of “The Sentinel,” follows Jupiter’s spaceship after being discovered to be disrupted. It touches things that most films stay away from, like evolution and existentialism, making this film stand out from the rest. By sparingly using sounds and dialogs to make viewers think they were in space, filmmakers really made it as real as possible. It’s said it’s one of the most influential movies ever made.
The Big Lebowski
The Big Lebowski remembers the tale of someone who is played by Jeff Bridges called “The Dude.” He finds himself struggling in all directions to buy a new carpet. In each minute of this film, there is so much going on, which leaves viewers as confused as The Dude” is. This movie’s out-there characters are what won over viewers, on top of whether its funny and light-hearted script will leave its fans in their daily lives reciting lines from the movie.
