Carl Lewis

One of the best athletes of all time, Lewis may only be topped by Usain Bolt in the sprinting world. Lewis was once undisputed in the long jump, 100 m, and 200 m and held world records in the 4×200 m and 4×100 m relays and in the 100 m. Since 1984, he has been a world record holder in the indoor long jump and four of his nine golds are in the long jump competition at four consecutive Games. Aside from being the owner of the marketing company C.L.E.G., Lewis has made appearances in multiple films and television shows. The former ‘world’s fastest man’ is currently an assistant track coach at his alma mater, the University of Houston.

Mark Spitz

Before Michael Phelps, the world knew Mark Spitz, the nine-time gold medalist and second-greatest swimmer who has ever participated at the Olympics. He won two golds during his debut at the Olympics in 1968 and dominated the 1972 Munich Olympics. ‘Mark the Shark’ captured seven gold medals there and set a world record in every event. He went into retirement at 22 years old and found himself on TV right away, spending a few years making appearances on shows. In 1976, he started working for ABC Sports, but he is currently an entrepreneur and gives lectures all over the world.
