Sunrays On The Sahara
In this amazing image, you can see the Milky Way galaxy in the distance. It is dwarfing the vast Sahara Desert of the Earth in the foreground. Can you see the orange hue around the planet? The sun is reflected off of the orange sand which makes up the Sahara, which has a land area of 3.552 million square miles.
The Northern Lights
The Aurora Borealis, also known as The Northern Lights, is seen here in all its glowing glory. Images of it have been taken from the ground for ages and this gorgeous view perfectly complements them. For all the Simpsons fans out there, there isn’t any evidence that this photo was taken while the ISS astronauts were consuming “steamed hams”, unfortunately.
