Kahn felt safe at the In-Sync rescue center. He grew so strong that the center’s staff constructed a cinder-block staircase for him to use in his shelter. He had a lot more room to grow and relax now. The setting was in stark contrast to Kahn’s cramped quarters.

Instant Companions
Kahn just wanted a companion. Since lions are social animals who prefer to be in groups, the fact that Kahn and Sheila have been separated from other lions for such a long time is extremely distressing. Kahn and Sheila formed an instant bond when they were placed next to each other. This relationship pushed Sheila to get better. The fighting spirit of Kahn started to rub on her.
