There were a lot of things to worry about when Laura and Mat realized that preschool was now over. For one thing, it was possible that they would go to different classes. This was not something that they liked. They realized that they might no longer be together in the future and feared this possibility!

It was sad to hear that their worst fear came true after that. They did not just get placed in different classes, but they also went to different schools. It was not the choice of their parents either. The region decided where they would enroll. Their folks promised to set them up on playdates every now and then.
