Young Talent
During one recess at school, six-year-old Nadia and her fellow kindergartener had been doing cartwheels in the yard. That was the moment they caught the attention of married couple Marta and Bela Karolyi. The two of them were local gymnastics coaches who had been looking around for talented youth. They were impressed by what they saw and tried to recruit the two kids for the school they ran.

Bela Karolyi had always been a big sports person. He started out as a hammer-throwing champion but was also a junior boxing coach at some point. He later got into gymnastics with Marta, his wife. Together, the two of them started looking for young talent.
