While Chris knew too well the challenges of being in the military, there were also some other servicemen with families who could also relate. In fact, on the other side of the country there was one serviceman who was going through a very similar situation as Chris and Natasha. There was just once difference though, as he did know his wife was pregnant. Still, there was still a catch to their story.

While Jon Keeney was away on his deployment in 2012, he was aware that his wife was pregnant at home. However, there was just one snag, as Jon was in a more unpredictable situation and there was no way he was allowed to go back home. This was because 26-year-old Jon was serving all the way in Afghanistan, as part of the 305th Military Police Unit of the US Armed Forces. Six years before this time, he had signed up for reserve duties and already served in Iraq. After this he volunteered to serve in Afghanistan. While he was completing his tour, he was surprised by the news that he never expected to hear.
