The duck hunting business was founded by Phil Robertson. He used to be a great quarterback for Louisiana Tech. In fact, he was so skilled at it that he even got a spot on a famous NFL Team. However, would you believe that he gave it all up just because it was duck hunting season? He started his successful business back in 1973. No one could have known that this would just be the start of something big.

Friends With Terry Bradshaw
Phil was actually a great athlete. His prowess on the field was so evident that he was drafted earlier than the NFL Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw during the NFL Draft in 1970. He started out playing for the Bulldogs as a quarterback. When Phil was asked about his feelings on his decision to withdraw from the football world, he answered: “Terry went for the bucks, and I chased after the ducks.”
