South Dakota – 31.9% Obesity Rate
In the year 2016, South Dakota had 29.6% percent of people who were obese. After three years, the obesity rate rose to 31.9%. The state was now included in the list because of its status. American Indians, who only graduated from high school, GED, and individuals who had $25,000 to $34,999 were also suffering from obesity. We were sad to say that even Native Americans had the highest obesity rates in the state.
Wisconsin – 32% Obesity Rate
Wisconsin was a well-known state because of its cheese, but it was one of the states that also had a higher obesity rate. In this state, some places had a considerable amount of people who were considered obese, but the good part, the children in this state, had a low obesity rate. To prevent their kids from gaining weight, the School of Public Health at the University of Wisconsin exercised the use of zip codes.
