From the small theft he used to do before – stealing other people’s wallets, checks, purses, and other things, his new circle of friends led him in participating in bank robberies. At first, they managed to rob several banks and they did not get caught. The trick they used was going away from Washington D.C. and going immediately to North Carolina. He explained that they always went there after every robbery because the implementation of laws there was not strict.

He did not blame anyone, even his friends, as to why he went back in his old habit of doing terrible things and always getting in trouble. The only person he blamed was himself. He said that he did everything that he had done because he was enjoying every single part of it. He liked all the plans, the getaways, and the money.
