Nazi Documents

This couple in Hungary was shocked to discover confidential Nazi documents hidden in the walls of their home. They discovered more than 6,000 of these items from the Third Reich as they worked on a renovation project. The papers contained details about the holocaust and even came with a census that counted the Jews and designed the homes where they could be transferred before they were brought to the Budapest ghettos. Of course, scholars valued the new pieces of information that they learned from the documents. The Nazis destroyed many of them in an attempt to keep them away from the hands of the enemy. When it comes to this collection, the person in charge of them must have decided to stash them away instead. The census was conducted two months prior to the Nazi occupation of Hungary. The official records say that there were 600,000 Hungarian Jew victims of the holocaust.

Hand Grenade

As they cleaned out the garage of their grandmother, a mother and son discovered an unexploded hand grenade. It had to be carefully removed, so the Australian military had to come in. They later reported that the bomb did not have a fuse or any explosives for that matter. At any rate, we are sure that the family had a terrible scare when they first found it. The previous owner was a 91-year-old woman who was married to a Second World War soldier. The pins were still attached to the grenade, which was why the authorities had to close off the whole area and evacuate the people living there.
