Billy Joel is called “Piano Man” because of his first song’s popularity. He’s been an industry solo performer since the 1970s. He’s sold over 150 million albums globally, and his Greatest Hits album remains one of America’s best-selling records ever. Founded in The Bronx, he quit high school for music. He captured Columbia Records in 1972, agreeing on a deal. He’s received five 23 nominations Grammys.
