Jim Irsay’s father, Robert Irsay, created a fortune valued at over $150 million through profitable heating and air conditioning companies. The Baltimore Colts were bought by Jim Irsay’s father when his son was just 12. He becomes vice president and general manager of The Colt in 1984. Irsay’s dad passed away in 1997, and he inherited the band.
