Jackie Joyner-Kersee

Jackie Joyner-Kersee, a four-time Olympic gold medalist, leaps for a then-Olympic record 7.40 meters in the long jump at the Olympics which were being held in Seoul, Korea. Despite steroid allegations at the 1988 Olympics, Joyner-Kersee was never found to be using performance-enhancing substances.
Abebe Bikila
The 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome were held on September 10th. Abebe Bikila of Ethiopia, a barefooted runner, approaches the Arch of Constantine on his route to winning the Olympic marathon in a world-record pace of 2:15:16.2. Due to the oppressive summer heat, the race was held at night.
