Wayne Gretzky
On March 23, 1994 in hockey fixture Kings vs. Canucks; Wayne Gretzky of the Los Angeles Kings scored his 802nd goal of his career, passing Gordie Howe as the NHL’s all-time greatest goal scorer. Gretzky had 894 points by the end of his career.
Hank Aaron
On the 8th of April, 1974, in Atlanta; Hank Aaron of the Atlanta Braves hits his 715th career home run, passing Babe Ruth as the all-time home run leader. Aaron would go on to hit 755 home runs, a record only bettered by Barry Bonds in 2007. We can imagine how nerve-wrecking it would be in this kind of atmosphere, but Aaron showed his brilliance by hitting that special home run.
