Michael Jordan
On the All-Star weekend last February 6, 1988, Michael Jordan jumped from the free-throw line and flew towards the ring. Jordan’s performance amazed the judges and gave Jordan a perfect score and won against Dominique Wilkins during the Slam Dunk Contest finals. It was Jordan’s second time to succeed in the competition. The 1988 dunk competition was the well-known face-off between Jordan and Wilkins.
Bill Mazeroski
On October 13, 1960, Pittsburgh Pirates’ second baseman Bill Mazeroski hit the game-winning home run off New York Yankees pitcher Ralph Terry in Game 7 of the World Series. It was the final match, and the hit gave his team the win. It appears the only walk-off home run in Game 7 history to this day.
