1956 Aston Martin DBR1

Aston Martin produced the 1956 Aston Martin DBR1 as a race car, and it was originally intended to compete for the World Sportscar Championship, aside from non-cup races that time. However, the 1956 Aston Martin DBR1 became well-known for winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans last 1959. The Aston Martin DBR1 was the only Aston Martin’s victory for the Le Mans. The DBR1 also had 6 World Sportscar Championship victories, the Tourist Trophy, and the Nurburgring Le Mans and it was the first race car to feature a large, triangular vent on its body. It became a standard on all future Aston Martin vehicles.
