Brown Rice
Brown rice has a higher phosphorus and potassium content than white rice. Some good alternatives for rice are buckwheat, bulgur, couscous, and pearled barley since they are also nutritious but have less phosphorus.
Banana
While bananas are naturally low in sodium, they have high potassium contents. Unfortunately, many other tropical fruits contain high amounts of potassium as well. Even so, there is a more suitable alternative – pineapples, which contain much less potassium compared to other tropical fruits.
