The two animals formed a bond as soon as they were introduced by Thoa. She let ABC News know that the dog refused to leave the kitten for hours on end. Rosie cuddled up to Lilo and felt comforted by the presence of the canine. It did not take long before Rosie felt secure enough to start eating. As a matter of fact, she even tried nursing on Lilo like one would do to their mother! This gave Thoa hope.

It was clear that Lilo had maternal instincts. After all, the husky knew exactly what to do as soon as she met Rosie. Thoa shared with ABC News how the dog “cuddled her and comforted [Rosie] until she was better and ready to finally drink from a bottle.” As a matter of fact, Lilo remained by the side of the kitten the entire night. This was even better than what Thoa was hoping for. She brought the husky dinner so that they did not have to leave each other just yet.
