Larry Hagman, on the other hand, was in the United States Air Force for some time. His co-star Bill Daily was in service in the U.S. Army as an artilleryman during the Korean War. Their experience allowed them to lend a certain accuracy to the roles.

We already said this earlier, but Larry Hagman drank a lot while working on the movie. The truth was that he said that he was high on drugs when they shot many scenes! In 2011, Barbara Eden released an autobiography called “Jeannie Out of the Bottle.” She said that he did not regret the drug use and drinking that he did but was concerned about how it was going to impact his health. His daughter released an autobiography in 2016. This was what she said about his wild ways: “He so completely embraced the sex, drugs, and rock-and-roll ethos of the era that he lived it to the end of his days.”
