For once, a huge blob might actually be what it appears to be

As these strange images of Mars have shown us, much of what you see on Mars is not what it seems. However, this appears to be one case where what you’re looking at really is authentic. It looks like something splashed against the planet’s surface, and that’s apparently what really happened. Apparently, something hit the southern ice cap of Mars in 2019 and broke through the ice. In doing so, a quantity of dust would have been blown out of the hole, causing the splash effect we can see here. NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter apparently captured the image, as with many of these other unusual photos of Mars.

A cannonball?

If Martians lived on Mars, do you think they’d go to war? We suppose it’s not impossible. After all, humans have done it many times over the centuries, and conflicts are always likely to emerge between life forms. Some even believe there has already been a war on the planet, judging by this image. This was captured by NASA’s Curiosity rover and apparently caught the attention of some UFO enthusiasts in late 2017. They apparently thought the spherical object in this image was a cannonball left over from a war. However, NASA downplayed this suggestion on social networks, pointing out that the alleged cannonball is only 0.2 inches long.
