Honorable Mention: Virginia – 30.1% Obesity Rate
Virginia had been facing the problem with obesity for an extended period. In 2015, the state got more than $375,000 from the Center for Disease Control to encourage eating nutritious food and physical activities. Virginia might not have belonged in the 25 high obesity rates, but we could not deny that it still had a high rate when it came to obesity.
Honorable Mention: Rhode Island – 30% Obesity Rate
Rhode Island had an astonishing seafood delicacy even if it was not an island. However, most foods on their menu were battered and fried, which was the reason for gaining weight. We could order fried calamari, fish, oyster, and many more. The World Population Review claimed that 30% of the people living in the state were obese.
