South Carolina – 34.1% Obesity Rate
If we had traveled towards South Carolina, we could tell that it had excellent food. We could eat their well-known collard greens, creamy grits, pecan pies, she-crab soup, fried okra, and many more. We knew those foods were hard to ignore because of how delicious it was. However, the people living in that state could not get enough. South Carolina was at the top list of high obesity rates in the country.
Alaska – 34.2% Obesity Rate
The number of overweight adults in Alaska had been doubled. For almost 30 years, 13% of the people living in the state was categorized as obese. We were shocked that the number of people had increased too much. According to the Alaskan Officials, they prioritized teaching about nutritious food. However, some people believed that individuals were gaining weight because of law, quantity and costly food in this state.
