On October 13, 1960, students at the University of Pittsburgh cheered as they watched the match at Forbes Field from their campus called Cathedral of Learning. On that day, Pirates beat the Yankees in the World Series for the first time in 35 years. Bill Mazeroski was able to hit the ball, and his moment was known as the first walk-off home run in World Series history in Game 7 of the series. The ball went over the left-field fence that gave the Pirates a 10-9 victory.

At the match between the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills Game on December 8, 1974, Joe Namath, a Jets player, was captured listening to the sidelines during their game. At the end of the match, the jets won with a 20-10 after Namath did 131 yards and passed touchdowns.
