Written In The Stars
Forrest Gump came out in 1994 and became an instant hit. It wasn’t a sure-fire classic, however. This was due to the fact that the movie was competing with some excellent movies. In fact, 1994 is thought to be one of the best years for movies – ever. In addition to Forrest Gump, audiences were treated to Pulp Fiction, The Shawshank Redemption, and The Lion King. That’s a large amount of good movies in one year.
Hippies’ Hair
A lot of the extras in the hippie scene were actors from the Maryland Renaissance Festival. Casting director, Ellen Lewis, realized that it would be a great source of performers with longer hair than usual.
